Site Infrastructure
Water Supply / Irrigation
The Club has recently invested in an in-ground, automatic, computer controlled irrigation system and the provision of treated effluent water to secure the longer term irrigation requirements for the golf course.
The monitoring of the use of effluent water (salts and / or nutrients) is required so that management can adjust the maintenance requirements of the golf course.
Drainage
Drainage is an ongoing review item for the golf course and it is seen as important that a plan of all existing drainage be developed to monitor performance and maintenance.
Drainage improvements are to be tracked in future and in close association with Course management documented by PCD with full copies of all digital information going to the Club.
Pathways
Pathway construction was discussed by the team and the current granitic sand approach was seen as the best solution.
Maintenance Zone
The Club has invested in a new maintenance facility over the past few years. Howeverit was noted that wash-down waste is being deposited in the rough at a low point near the maintenance shed between green 6 / 12th. & 17.
We would recommend that the Club investigate a wash-down recycle plant for use at the maintenance facility to minimize the risk of environmental damage to the zone mentioned or infiltration of such waste into the lake systems.
The area mentioned is also a potential site for extending the current lake system to increase amenity along those holes and be a source of fill if required.
