"Get a GRIP this Winter"

As a golfer it's important to be in a correct and solid position at address. You don't want to be vulnerable because you have grips that are shiny, hard or cracked, or holes where the thumb sits. Imagine how difficult it would be to play in the wet, come winter time.

"Would you drive your car in the rain, with four bald tyres?"

I have often asked players how long they have owned their clubs? The usual reply is "10 years or more" - and that goes for the grips, too. If you can't hold your clubs properly, how do you intend to play to your potential?

Sometimes it's possible to improve your game without having a lesson. Getting new grips is a step in the right direction.

To play in the 'wet" doesn't have to be a nightmare.

Planning ahead is the key to a good round of golf. If you are well-prepared, that is a great start...

Make sure you stock your golf bag with proper wet weather gear, (pants and jacket that actually keep out the rain and cold), gloves to keep your hands warm, not to grip the club with, a spare dry towel, a plastic bag to keep your gloves dry and a large sturdy umbrella to tackle the elements.
