COVID-19 STRIKES AT KOORINGAL

Posted on: 20 July

Please be advised that a member has contacted the Club today to advise that he has been diagnosed with COVID-19. As soon as the member felt ill, he got tested, and soon after the results came back positive. It is important to note that the member did not come to the Club after being tested, however did play golf prior to testing – on the afternoons of Wednesday 15, Thursday 16 and Friday 17 July.

We are awaiting some formal advice and direction from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) but in the mean time the members playing partners have gone to be tested and will self-isolate, along with selected staff. We will also be giving the building and course toilets a special clean.

To ensure the health and safety of all the staff and members, we will close the course and clubhouse at 6pm tonight, and not open on Tuesday or Wednesday. All staff will stay home, so if you need to contact us I suggest you email me at generalmanager@kooringalgolf.com.au or Brian McMahon at directorofgolf@kooringalgolf.com.au

(don’t hit reply to this email as it goes to the office email, hence I wont get it for the next few days)

As soon as we get formal direction from the DHHS, we will action it immediately. This may result in the Club re-opening earlier, but on the flip side may result in the Club being closed for a further period. Either way, members will be first to know.

During the closure period, the gates will be locked and there will be no access into the property. PEKISH will also be closed for take away orders.
