Kooringal members victorious in Huntingdale Senior Amateur

Ian McCleary has won his first senior event for the year after being victorious in this year’s Huntingdale Senior Amateur.
Scoring proved to be extremely difficult with tough conditions challenging the players throughout their round.
Ian produced a magnificent 38 on his first nine to set up his victory.
A final score of 79 would see Ian take home the title by three shots.
The win has seen Ian rocket into second position of the 2019 Doug Bachli Order of Merit, only 13 points behind Guy Krall.
In the men’s nett section, there were three players tied on 75 with a countback needed to split the winners.
John Sist would be crowned champion with David Cheeseman and Donald Parsonage unluckily missing out.
